Built on the original Diversity Fin Antenna, the new RF Venue IPX wireless microphone antenna is designed for touring rigs, outdoor installs and demanding production conditions – ‘the realities of today’s environments’.
At its core, the IPX antenna uses the same technology to counter dropouts and deliver consistent RF performance as before, but with a newly designed watertight threaded dipole that can withstand impact, and is IP44-rated with a sealed housing and protected connectors to allow systems to work in rain, snow and other demanding environmental conditions.
The diversity design replaces two traditional ‘shark fin’ paddle antennas with a single, high-performance unit that reduces cost, set-up time, and user error, and is able t combat multi-path interference.
The antenna has a durable twist Lock threaded mic stand mount (EU adapter included) and a a new universal wall-mount bracket system that can be purchased separately.
The proprietary cross-polarised design receives both vertical and horizontal signals in a single antenna, reducing dropouts caused by polarisation mismatches.
