Wireless Systems

Audio-Technica has released the D50 Digital UHF Wireless System for high-density RF environments across corporate A/V, educational, government, house of worship, theatre and other live sound applications.

D50 digital UHF wireless systemThe D50 digital UHF wireless system is purpose-built to meet the real-world needs of integrators and users. D50 delivers enhanced RF stability, best-in-class battery life and build quality, efficient rack-space use (supporting up to eight channels of Dante audio networking in a single rack space), internal DSP capabilities, high-fidelity audio and scalable system expansion.

D50 features up to 224MHz of tuning bandwidth (depending on region) for flexible channel planning in complex RF environments with a switchable antenna combining diversity and maximal ratio combining (MRC) true diversity modes give signal reliability, and high-density mode allows up to 63 simultaneous frequencies within a single 8MHz TV channel.

The system comprises a half-rack receiver, available in either a two-channel (Audio-Technica Link) or four-channel (Dante-enabled) versions, supporting 96kHz audio, redundancy and PoE+ power; handheld, bodypack, and gooseneck base transmitters that claim exceptional battery life and build quality; and handheld transmitters with interchangeable Artist Elite capsule options.

Additional features include onboard spectrum analysis, AES256 encryption, integrated DSP and Wireless Manager software for monitoring and control, delivering a robust, future-ready wireless solution.

‘We spent a lot of time talking to integrators, sound engineers and other users working in demanding environments to develop the D50 series,’ says Audio-Technica EMEA Product Manager, Christian Bethin-Kittel. ‘The result is a great-sounding wireless solution that is extremely powerful, compact and allows highly flexible channel planning.’
