Bringing increased levels of scalability and flexibility to its wireless systems, Shure has released the ANX4, a scalable device that can be operated in either Axient Digital or ULX-D mode, and supports all currently available transmitter options used by those platforms.
The ANX4 Scaleable Wireless Receiver ships without preconfigured wireless channels and can be activated to support any channel count up to its maximum capacity using ShureCloud.
This design approach invites users to buy channel licences in the quantity needed, and apply them across multiple ANX4 hardware units, for greater flexibility in high channel count productions.
Available in AC and DC powered versions, the ANX4 supports a tuning range spanning 174MHz to 2GHz and two pairs of antenna inputs that can each be tuned up to 72MHz wide.
The single rack receiver format requires less space and reduces dissipated heat, offering a cost-effective solution at high channel counts, without shortcutting Axient Digital’s and ULX-D’s existing features. This particularly suited to audio rental companies, fixed installations and location sound mixers, as it reduces the space and weight typically required for high channel count solutions.
Enhanced connectivity options on the ANX4 receiver include four Ethernet and four coaxial antenna inputs for streamlined configuration, with no need for additional antenna distribution gear. Additionally, ANX4 features a large, 6.6-inch front-panel colour display, support for all ULX-D and Axient Digital frequency bands, Dante/AES67 outputs, and a quarter-inch front-panel headphone connector for monitoring.
ANX4 also supports network control withviaShure Wireless Workbench for remote RF monitoring and management.
