Berlin-based pro audio company Holoplot has unveiled the Beta version of its design and simulation software Holoplot Plan, as well as the new X1 Matrix Array rigging system.

‘Our aim is to make our technology more accessible,’ says Head of Product. Michael Kastner. ‘Holoplot Plan allows creatives and designers to see the direct impact our technology can have on their own projects.’

Reckoning to make designing, simulating and setting up a Holoplot sound system simple and intuitive, Holoplot Plan simulates and visualizes direct sound pressure levels, providing a realistic prediction of the audio coverage in the venue. For further analysis and advanced simulations, projects can be exported to Ease.

Using Plan’s 3D graphical interface, Matrix Arrays of different configurations can be designed, and soundfields based on 3D Audio-Beamforming and Wave Field Synthesis technologies can be created.

The new X1 rigging system, makes rigging the X1 Matrix Array more flexible, and allows arrays to be deployed vertically or horizontally and infinitely scalable, opening the door for X1 in both fixed installation and rental markets.
