Solid State Logic has launched the SSL autoSeries plug-ins, combining 4000 E console circuit modelling with sonible’s AI-assisted audio analysis. The trio of plug-ins includes autoEQ, autoDYN and autoBUS.
autoSeries plug-ins features native AI-assisted analysis, helping users create and adapt processing relative to source material. Each AI-assisted plug-in analyses a user’s audio’s spectral and dynamic characteristics, suggests adaptive profiles with style-matched settings, and delivers fully editable processing.
Modelled on the SSL 4K E channel strip, autoEQ ‘takes SSL processing to a new level’ by analysing the audio and presenting adaptive profiles with style-matched settings that remain fully editable. autoEQ delivers the same sonic signature that helped shape recordings by Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Kate Bush, U2 and Metallica.
Also modelled on the SSL 4K E channel strip, autoDYN presents adaptive profile-based settings and delivers fully editable dynamics processing. Users can access punchy, aggressive compression, super‑fast, musical gating, explosive expansion, and a range of other dynamic possibilities with intelligent, audio-aware assistance to help achieve faster results.
From the 4000 G Bus Compressor, autoBUS analyses audio, presents adaptive profile‑based, style‑matched settings, and delivers mix bus or subgroup processing.
This has been used by engineers and producers including Tom Lord Alge, Bob Rock, and MixedByAli, and artists including Springsteen, Pink Floyd, Nirvana and Massive Attack. autoBUS’ AI assistance provides optimisation processing, as well as offering intelligent Full Mix, Vocal, Guitar and Drum bus profiles.
‘SSL has always strived to create recording and production tools that allow our customers to expand their abilities and focus on their creation’ says SSL GM/CTO, Enrique Perez. ‘This partnership with sonible builds in powerful AI audio analysis to complement classic SSL processing, giving customers more freedom to do exactly that.’
‘sonible has been at the forefront of AI-assisted audio processing for over a decade, and this initial partnership with SSL showcases how new machine learning tools can combine with traditional processing techniques to offer users something unique,’ adds sonible CMO, Alex Wankhammer.
The autoSeries of plug-ins is available now, with individual perpetual licenses and as part of the Complete Access subscription.
