Lewitt has updated its Space Replicator plug-in with a new live venue – which features one of Europe’s most distinct club PA systems – and an list of new headphone compensation profiles with more than 100 new models.
The first new space is perfect for electronic music producers. Lewitt has created an accurate virtual acoustic replica of the Viennese club venue PRST (Praterstrasse), famous for its accurate PA system ranked among the best in Europe. In this new virtual acoustic space, tracks can be tested ‘on the dancefloor’ and’ in the DJ booth’ to check how they perform in a club environment and reveal flaws in mixes.
The second new space is the control room of an actual nuclear power plant that was built but never went into operation. Listening to tracks here on a late 1970s sound system invites a feeling of nostalgia as well as revealing flaws in the mix midrange.
To achieve a high level of realism, it’s important to have headphones frequency-compensated to not colour the listening experience. Space Replicator includes an extensive list of headphone compensation profiles. Now, the list was extended by more than 100 new models, including the user-requested Slate VSX headphone profiles that will now work even with different production batches of the model. Lewitt also invites suggestions for future updates.
This update is free to all existing users. The new headphone compensation models are available in Space Replicator and Space Replicator Essential. The two new spaces are only available in the Standard Version.
