Waves Audio has announced Waves V16, the latest version of Waves plug-ins, designed to enhance workflow efficiency and streamline the mixing process.
V16 is Waves’ latest plug-in update, maintaining and improving its extensive catalogue of more than 240 plug-ins. This version brings usability enhancements that provide clearer visuals and improved control of a mix. To ensure consistent output levels and eliminate disruptive loudness jumps, with V16, Waves has integrated Auto Makeup Gain into five compressors – the CLA-2A Compressor/Limiter, CLA-3A Compressor/Limiter, CLA-76 Compressor/Limiter, Abbey Road RS124 Compressor and V-Comp.
Additionally, Cosmos Sample Finder, Waves’ smart sample organiser and browser, now operates as a plug-in within DAWs, enabling sample auditioning, in sync with session key and tempo. The updated Cosmos also features reduced scan times, auto-grouping of identical audio, an updated interface, and performance enhancements for a smoother workflow.
Waves V16 also introduces freeform corner-drag resizing, across all Waves plug-ins, enabling users to customise plug-in window sizes to suit their workspace preferences. Waves has also modernised new interfaces for the The V-Series bundle, including V-Comp, V-EQ3 and V-EQ4, along with IR-Live Convolution Reverb and MaxxBass. These redesigned interfaces offer enhanced clarity while preserving theirsound.
Waves V16 is fully compatible with the latest operating systems and DAWs.
