Fuse Audio Labs has announced its VRev-305 Twelve Spring Reverb DAW plug-in, modelled on a rare 1970s-vintage spring chamber reverb system that uses a tank of 12 individual springs with equally tempered timings following a logarithmic progression very similar to the musical scale.

Fuse Audio Labs VRev-305 Twelve Spring Reverb‘The 305 is a super-inspiring mechanical masterpiece, so it felt only natural to put huge effort into getting its complex and unique signature sound just right for this plug-in while offering some really useful DAW add-ons to the original concept,’ says Fuse Audio Labs CEO, Reimund Dratwa.

The VRev-305 plug-in produces a harmonic series of reflection patterns that result in dense reverb tails, but without the artefacts typical of springs. Its plate-like ambience can be adapted to individual signals through a simple yet musical and interactive EQ section. Also, the plug-in permanently is not unconstrained by the fixed decay time limitation of the hardware unit.

VRev-305 also offers separate pre-delay parameters per channel, as well as switchable stereo summing options – both before and after the spring system.
