Yamaha has released V3.1 firmware for its DM3 series digital mixing consoles, introducing support for the new RUio1608SB-D and RUio0804-D utility I/O units and bringing the existing Ri8 and Ro8 I/O units within the DM3’s Dante auto setup function, as well as adding various stability improvements and bug fixes.
With firmware V3.1, DM3 users can now quickly integrate Yamaha I/O devices such as the new RUio1608SB-D stagebox-type I/O unit and RUio0804-D 1U-high rack I/O into their Dante systems, enabling remote head amp control and streamlined operation. The updated firmware also means the new RUio16FLX-D flexible 16 channel I/O unit supports remote head amp control from the DM3 when its inputs are patched to the console.
The addition of these units and enhanced integration of the Ri8/Ro8 further expands the flexibility of the Yamaha audio ecosystem, providing users with more options and increased operational convenience for mobile live sound, installed audio and recording applications.
The Dante auto set-up function automatically configures Dante settings and patches for compatible Yamaha I/O devices, helping users reduce setup time and simplify system configuration.
In addition, firmware V3.1 includes various maintenance updates, bug fixes and performance improvements to improve overall system reliability and operational stability.
