The Neve 8424E is a 24-channel, international standard, resettable console, powered by Neve Elements. Based on the 8424’s 80-series sound, the 8424E is available with a choice of EQ and Dynamics through the Neve Elements Range: 88REQ, 88R Dynamics and 1084EQ.
The 8424E is an international standard, fully resettable console, engineered in the UK by of Neve Engineers, alongside the, large-format 88RS3. A Marinair transformer coupled stereo mix bus derived from the 80 series consoles delivers the Neve sound across 24 channels, four mono groups and 48 mix capability. Every setting can be stored and recalled after session.
Powered by Neve Elements, the 8424E gives users the freedom to choose EQ and dynamics in any combination, tailored to a specific studio workflow. This modular approach builds on the original 8424 concept of housing 1073 preamps externally to the console, allowing you to specify a system that suits projects, clients and your budget.
Elements integrate with the 8424 console through analogue insert send and return pathways. Each Elements unit features an intelligent insert matrix, enabling integration of favoured outboard equipment with Elements and the 8424E console while preserving core 8424 signal flow.
The E-Controller places an existing desk into the centre of the Elements ecosystem, adding two digitally controlled 500-series VCA compressors into the heart of the console, and providing remote control of every connected Element processor.
The Elements Upstand Screen, mounted to the console top trim highlights individual Elements processors, providing instant visual feedback of every processor in an ecosystem. The Upstand Screen combines with the E-Controller to give instant, intuitive command over a studio.
