API is billing the launch of the Vision+ console as a ‘major evolution’ of the Vision desk, adding features and functionality.

The Vision+ retains the core strengths of the original Vision console while introducing substantial upgrades across the input module, centre section, automation system, and frame design. It features a proven analogue in-line signal path with two 100mm motorised faders per channel and is available in 32, 48, 64, 80 or 96 channel frame sizes. Key highlights include 24 multitrack buses, three stereo buses, a stereo grand master bus, 10 aux sends, stereo/LCR/surround panning on every channel, with high-pass filtering on both signal paths, Optional classic API EQs are available on every channel, and centre section control includes eight Playback Selections and three Surround Monitor Outputs with individual solo/mute.

API Vision+ consoleNew features include upgrades to Final Touch Automation, a dual-touchscreen Automation Control Module (ACM) for easy navigation of the expanded analogue automation controls, integrated DAW control via HUI and MCU protocols, redesigned input modules and refined functionality and channel layout.

Also upgraded is the Fader Drive Circuit with Touch Calibration, and the console offers a new Alt-Line Input option, which doubles the number of line inputs during mixdown. Among other innovations are translucent Sswitch caps With LED illumination for better visibility, a redesigned power monitor and improved patchbay Design. An optional 2500+C Bus Compressor that can be integrated in the centre section and, among further customisations available, are the 30 Producer’s Desk with monitor mount, as well as an Options Bucket pre-wired for 200 Series and/or 500 Series modules.
