Recording-Mixing

Harrison Audio has announced LiveTrax 3, bringing full integration with DiGiCo consoles to its live performance recording and virtual soundtrack software.

Harrison Audio LiveTrax 3The release is in line with Allen & Heath and Solid State Logic’s SSL Live platforms, supporting multitrack recording and virtual soundchecks. An all-new Session Creation feature enables users to build LiveTrax sessions directly via the console, aligning track naming and track order between the DiGiCo console and LiveTrax 3.

Feature-wise, LiveTrax focuses on essential live performance tools, and includes Transport Sync, 1:1 Input Routing, a spectral analyser and per-track input monitoring.

LiveTrax 3 features a range of tools developed in collaboration with leading live sound engineers. These include a real-time spectral analyser and phase correlation meter, which provide real-time visibility of the frequency response selectable on any channel. Additionally, input monitoring is more streamlined, now featuring a dedicated monitor button on every track.

LiveTrax 3 also features extensive marker functionality and advanced master output controls, along with a resisable Big Clock and a dedicated Meterbridge window. Users can also monitor utility functions like CPU usage, Disk I/O, and Remaining Record Time. For efficient storage, direct recording to FLAC format is supported, and for file protection, a System Lock feature prevents accidental keypresses during recording.

Additional new features include console channel names transferred to LiveTrax tracks and a marker with the snapshot name inserted in Live Trax when a Snapshot is fired in recording. In virtual soundcheck playback, when firing a snapshot, the playback jumps to the marker. Macro control of LiveTrax transport is now supported along with comprehensive keyboard shortcuts.

‘Our focus is always on giving DiGiCo users more – more speed, more control, and more return from their investment, says DiGiCo MD, Austin Freshwater. ‘The integration with LiveTrax 3 simplifies complex workflows, reducing set-up time and operational friction while enabling reliable, high-quality capture. For production teams, that means greater efficiency and a stronger return on every show.’
