A jont venture between Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems and Dan Dugan Sound Design brought the Dugan-MY16 card to NAB.

Designed for all current Yamaha digital mixers and processor models, the Dugan-MY16 is aimed at live-for-broadcast, corporate A/V, houses of worship and other sound reinforcement applications requiring automatic mic mix capabilities.

Following Dan Dugan Sound Design's line of automatic mic mixing tools, the new card enables control of live microphones via a real-time, voice-activated process offered by the Dugan Speech System plug-in card for Yamaha mixers.

The Dugan-MY16  provides up to 16 channels of automatic mic mixing per card at 48kHz, or will support eight channels at 96kHz. It is patched into input channels using the console set-up screen, and allows channels to be partitioned into upto three independent automixers. An internal web server provides a virtual remote control panel over a local network. Multiple  cards can be linked for use in larger system situations – two cards will provide 32 channels of processing.

Yamaha mixer models able to take advantage of the Dugan-MY16 card presently include the 01V96, DM1000, 02R96, DM2000, M7CL, LS9, DSP5D, PM5D and DME24/64N

The Dugan-MY16 card can also be linked to all other DSP-based Dugan automixer units, including the Models D-2, D-3, E and E-1.
