Outline SuperflyOutline has announced the Superfly compact line-source enclosure. An evolution of the company’s Butterfly design, Superfly claims to set new standards in performance for a loudspeaker of these dimensions.

Weighing less than 38kg (83.8lb) per module yet with prodigious acoustic potential and class-leading dispersion control, Superfly integrates with the existing Outline portfolio and can be readily paired with any of the company’s subwoofer designs.

Superfly also reckons to redefine the low-frequency performance expectations of compact line-array loudspeakers. The LF extension from the individually-driven dual 10-inch drivers is below 50Hz, and for many applications Superfly’s ultra-wide bandwidth and clarity mean that it can be used without additional subwoofers. However, when used with any Outline subwoofers its full acoustic potential is realised.

Powered by the company’s DSP-equipped X8 amplifiers, Superfly-based systems are flexible, powerful, predictable, quick and easy to deploy and convenient to transport, contributing vital operational efficiencies to any live sound scenario.

Superfly is proving itself on the road with UK partner Capital Sound Hire, chosen for the current Australian Pink Floyd tour which is in Europe until May then returns to the UK.
