Mackie has expanded its CR Series Multimedia Monitors with new models and a subwoofer.

Mackie CR3-XNew to the CR Series is the CR3-X 3-inch, CR4-X 4-inch and CR5-X 5-inch, as well as the Bluetooth enabled CR3-XBT 3-inch, CR4-XBT 4-inch, CR5-XBT 5-inch and CR8-XBT 8-inch models. Adding bottom end punch to the line is the new CR8S-XBT Bluetooth enabled subwoofer.

CR Series monitors are intended for use in personal studios, multimedia content creation, A/V postproduction, gaming and broadcast, promising ‘clean, articulate sound’. The CR3-X and CR4-X offer 50W of power and the CR5-X 80W, while the CR8S-XBT subwoofer delivers 200W.

All models boast all-wood cabinets, polypropylene-coated woofers, 0.75-inch ferrofluid-cooled silk-dome tweeters, and specially designed waveguides for unmatched sonic clarity and consistent sound dispersion across all frequencies at all levels.

The front panel design features brushed metal panels and a signature CR Green outline, with front panel access to on/off/volume control and headphone jack. The speaker placement switch allows a choice of which side of the desk gets the volume control.

The sleek design of the CR8S-XBT subwoofer makes it a match for any CR Series monitors. Flexible rear panel inputs and outputs include quarter-inch TRS and RCA connectors, as well as convenient Bluetooth connectivity and streaming. Dial in your sound just right with Input and Output level controls plus a variable crossover and polarity switch. The included CRDV Desktop Volume Control makes system control simple, and adding Bluetooth connectivity to any set of monitors.

All CR Series Multimedia Monitors come ready to play, including acoustic isolation pads to minimise bass build-up and provide up/down tilt control for more focused listening; speaker to speaker cable, quarter-inch stereo RCA cable for connecting to computers, and 3.5mm/3.5mmcable for connecting to smartphone or media player. (isolation pads not included with CR3-X and CR4-X.)
