RCF has released the ST 15-SMA II and ST 12-SMA II active stage monitors.

The ST 15-SMA II is an active ultra-compact and fully featured speaker aimed at rental companies and musicians. Designed as a professional sound reinforcement solution with up to 131dB SPL, low distortion and high reliability, it will serve high-powered music applications, DJ sets, and vocal reinforcement, with or without subwoofers.

Loaded with a 15-inch woofer (2.5-inch voice coil) and 1-inch compression driver (1.4-inch voice coil), the ST 15-SMA II has a mximum power handling of 1.2kW and gives 90° x 60° coverage.

Also with power handling of 1.2kW and 90° x 60° coverage, the ST 12-SMA II has a slightly lowe maximum SPL of 130dB. It is loaded with a similar 1-inch compression driver (1.4-inch voice coil) to the ST 15-SMA II and a 12-inch woofer (2.5-inch voice coil).

All ST Series loudspeakers feature FiRPhase processing for 0° linear phase response and optimised electronics. FRFR means you can model the sound of a guitar amp modeller or pedalboard through a neutral speaker. ST multifunctional cabinet is built of high strength birch plywood polyurethane coated with a heavy-duty protection grille. One comfortable handgrip on top and a pole cap.RCF desribes both models as offering ‘open, natural sound and extreme precision over the entire frequency range – perfect on stage for high powered monitoring as well as a point source speaker’.
