BTX Technologies has announced the availability of locking IEC power cords to increase reliability in critical applications in applications including: rental and staging, high traffic areas, mobile applications (in which vibration is an issue, or where critical equipment is used, such as in touring racks), fly-packs and broadcast trucks.

Designed to eliminate accidental disconnection, the UL-listed power cords have a patented locking IEC connector at one end and a standard Edison plug at the other. The locking IEC connector features an internal mechanism that grabs the ground pin of the equipment and prevents the plug from coming out. A red tab has to be pulled to release the cord without damaging the plug or equipment.

BTX offers the 18-AWG locking IEC power cords in lengths from one to six feet.
