Klark Teknik’s DN100 Direct Injection Box is the successor to the established LBB100, offering extended dynamic range and a lower noise floor.
Inputs include two quarter-inch jack sockets and one 3-pin XLR socket, all linked. Input impedances are 1MΩ (jack sockets) and 20kΩ (XLR only). The unit handles a maximum input level of at 30dBu, has switchable 0-30dB attenuation and a balanced 600Ω output. An earth lift switch disconnects input and output grounds, and it is powered by a 48V phantom supply.
Key specifications:
Output noise: -100dBu. 20Hz-20kHz unweighted, with input terminated in 10kΩ
Distortion: (THD+N) <0.01% @ 1kHz, +4dBu
Frequency response: +0.5/-1dB 20Hz-20kHz
Power consumption: <10mA
A Kensington security slot in one of the end panels allows the unit to be secured with a Kensington MicroSaver security cable.
Designed for life on the road, the unit uses a thick aluminium shell which is furtheris protected by a silicone rubber casing – replaceable and available as a spare part.
