Tascam has announced the IF-ST2110 SMPTE ST 2110 expansion card for its DA-6400 enabling integration of the 64-track recorder/player into IP-based broadcast workflows.

IF-ST2110 SMPTE ST 2110 expansion cardSupported in V3.20 software, the card is aimed at both large and small broadcast facilities transitioning to networked audio infrastructures. The IF-ST2110 card allows the DA-6400 to operate within SMPTE ST 2110 environments, supporting ST 2110-30 and AES67 standards. With the addition of the card, the DA-6400 becomes a powerful 64-channel multitrack recorder/player fully compatible with IP-based production systems.

The card supports up to 64 inputs and 64 outputs at 48kHz, or 32 inputs and 32 outputs at 96kHz. It is SMPTE ST 2022-7 compliant for network redundancy and supports NMOS IS-o4 and IS-05 for device discovery and connection management, ensuring reliable integration within media networks.

Equipped with two dedicated media ports and an independent control, port, the new card is designed for robust and efficient network operation. A built-in Web UI enables streamlined configuration and control, including point-to-point connection capabilities.

The addition of the IF-ST2110 SMPTE expansion card expands Tascam’s portfolio of broadcast-ready solutions. The recorder supports IF-MA65/EX and IFMA64/BN cards for Madi alongside the IF-DA64 Dante card, all of which can be used in conjunction with the IF-ST2110 card. As a hybrid recorder, the DA-6400 bridges the gap between ST 2110 and Dante/Madi systems, and also serves as a flexible audio format converter.
