Sonifex has released a range of audio interface portals to mix and route analogue, AES3, microphone and AES67 stream inputs to analogue, AES3 and AES67 outputs.

The three units in the series comprise the AVN-PA8/T/D 8 Stereo Analogue Line Inputs & Outputs, AES67 Portal, AVN-PD8/T/D 8 Stereo Digital Line Inputs & Outputs, AES67 Portal and AVN-PM8/T/D 8 Mic/Line Inputs, 8 Stereo Line Outputs, AES67 Portal. Each of the portals can be supplied in different versions. As standard they have a front panel display to show product information and for editing basic IP functionality and they use XLRs and D-types for rear panel connectivity.

Of the two other options available, the ‘D’ version portals have front panel input and output metering on two bright TFT displays. Metering can show as one of nine different metering scales and there is a summary view of all input channels with a detailed view of any selected stereo pair. Phase metering is also displayed per stereo channel. Meanwhile, the ‘T’ version portals use rear panel terminal block connectors for all physical inputs and outputs.

The portals are able to mix any of their physical inputs and 16 AES67 AoIP stream inputs to any physical outputs and 16 AES67 AoIP outputs, providing a powerful mix matrix for a variety of broadcast and A/V applications. All units have input and output level trim, gain adjustment at cross-points and output limiters, ten user assignable GPIO ports, dual AC and DC power supply inputs, dual 1Gb Ethernet and 1Gb SFP ports and configuration via a responsive web server interface.
