Telos Alliance has announced its newest codec offering, Telos Zephyr Connect SE, built on a compact, fanless, silent hardware platform for studios and at the transmitter sites.

Telos Zephyr Connect SEZephyr Connect SE joins the Telos iPort High Density multi-codec gateway appliance and the software-based Zephyr Connect virtual codec to offer broadcasters a complete portfolio of Telos codec solutions.

Zephyr Connect SE includes two bidirectional stereo codecs and is expandable to eight codecs via additional licenses. It is fully compatible and interoperable with iPort HD and Zephyr Connect and, like those products, can be used as a studio-to-transmitter link, a network distribution system, a multichannel link to remote studios, or a streaming encoder when paired with a streaming server. Zephyr Connect SE supports Unicast UDP and TCP or UDP Multicast stream types and offers native support for Livewire+.

‘Since its debut, the response to Zephyr Connect SE has been incredible, and we are thrilled to begin shipping units today,’ says Cam Eicher, EVP of Audio Production. ‘From quiet studio control rooms to remote transmitter sites, it offers a plug-and-play solution that delivers enterprise-grade reliability to stations of every size.’
