Dynacord has released two new dual-channel power amplifier series – the L Series and the C Series.
Both series comprise a linear design with a best-in-class feature set and easy-to-use software for configuration, control and supervision of sound systems with multiple amplifiers. Four models per series are available, with total output power ranging from 1.3kW to 3.6kW. Engineered for stability at 2Ω, they are intended for use in live music applications including performing musicians and production companies working in music clubs, community hall events, performance centres, and sports venues.
Dynacord C Series power amplifiers are designed for permanent installation applications, to provide background or live music in venue including bars, churches, restaurants, sports facilities, and performing arts centres. The C Series is also suited to direct drive applications with 70V/100V speaker lines, providing flexibility for a variety of install scenarios. In addition, the amplifiers feature Euroblock connectors for wiring, remote power-on delay and GPIOs (general-purpose input/output) to interface with third-party controls. The efficient standby power mode reduces running costs and power consumption by up to 90 per cent, leading to a very low total cost of ownership.
Both series offer onboard DSP, including multi-band PEQs (parametric equaliser), crossovers, limiters, and delay per channel. It also has true channel grouping control with extra DSP capabilities like PEQ, GEQ (graphic equaliser), and delay for each group.
‘The advanced FIR-Drive, which uses finite impulse response filters, is a feature normally reserved for the highest quality tour-grade DSPs,’ says Global Product Manager for Pro Sound Electronics & Software, Jonathan Bailey. ‘L Series and C Series amplifiers use this premium feature to optimise original factory loudspeaker settings, yielding a level of performance unheard of at this price point.’
Both series consist of four dual-channel models, each with different output power specifications.
The L Series and C Series models’ maximum output power per channel are: C3600FDi/L3600FD 1.8kW @ 4Ω, 3.3kW @ 2Ω C2800FDi/L2800FD 1.4kW @ 4Ω, 2.3kW @ 2Ω C1800FDi/L1800FD 900W @ 4Ω, 1.6kW @ 2Ω C1300FDi/L1300FD 650W @ 4Ω, 1.1kW @ 2Ω.
