Targeting both touring and installed sound applications including high-power systems for auditoria, theme parks and performance venues, RCF has announced the XPS Series of four-channel power amplifiers.

Delivering 4kW/channel of continuous power at 2.7Ω in a 2U-high chassis, the class-D design offers flexible 32-bit routing, 40-bit floating-point processing at 96kHz, analogue, digital and Dante I/O and advanced fault protections for each amplifier channel and power supply. The amplifiers come pre-loaded with configurations and presets for RCF loudspeakers.

RCF XPS SeriesXPS provides installation-specific features, including enhanced system status monitoring, GPIOs for extended capabilities, flexible routing, and integration with the company’s proprietary RDNet management platform.

A 4.3-inch TFT colour capacitive touchpanel provides full operational control. The user interface is designed to be clear and easy to navigate, providing large touchbuttons and an edit knob, with high-contrast menus to avoid any ambiguity in a very bright, or sunny environment. Proprietary RDNet Over Ethernet (RDNet-OE) Management Network and OSC protocol compatibility give sound system engineers complete remote control of the amplifier.

RDNet-OE is the latest evolution of RDNet Networked Management for RCF compatible products. Each XPS model carries four Ethernet ports on the rear panel making it easy to integrate the system into any existing Ethernet infrastructure. Several XPS 16K devices can be connected together, to other RDNet compatible devices, or to one or more computers running RDNet software, without requiring an external RCF control device. All LAN 1-4 ports equally merge in the internal 1Gb/s switch.

A universal and regulated Switching Mode Power Supply (SMPS) automatically adapts to any mains voltage between 100V and 240V and 50Hz to 60Hz, able to deliver regulated power anywhere in the world. XPS provides extremely wide tolerance for unstable voltage conditions, indemnifying the amplifier’s performance from a fluctuating generator power. The switching mode power supply is tolerant up to 380V AC providing users with worldwide AC acceptance and reliability.
