Dutch DJ, house music producer and artist Afrojack is using a pair of PMC twotwo.6 speakers to allow him to work on mixes and prepare sets while travelling on his current international tour – 2013 Jacked. The purchase also put PMC’s Phil Milross on a flight trip to Ibiza to deliver the speakers in person.
Afrojack – Nick van de Wall _ began the 2013 Jacked tour in Hungary in July, and has been working his way through Europe since, taking in Croatia, Spain, France, Belgium, Sweden and The Netherland. In addition, he visited the UK for Global Gathering. He was also DJing in Ibiza between tour dates, and it was from Ibiza that PMC received a call.
‘Nick has been a PMC user for a few years,’ says Milross. He has a BB5 system in his main studio. He contacted us because he wanted a portable monitoring set-up that would give him the same great results because you can’t really cart a pair of BB5s around with you. He liked the idea that he could drive the twotwos directly from his laptop, and that closed the deal. He needed the speakers at short notice, so that was when I got a call: “Phil, not doing anything in particular this weekend, are you…?” So I flew over with them on a plane and had an unexpected long weekend.’
