Richard Cadena: Plasa

Lighting designer and entertainment technology media professional Richard Cadena has joined the Plasa team to serve as the Technical Editor for Lighting&Sound America and Lighting&Sound International magazines, and, at Protocol magazine will work alongside senior technical editor Karl Ruling. Additionally in the Plasa North American office, he will serve as assistant technical standards manager.

Cadena has worked in the entertainment technology industry for over 25 years, including, most recently, at PLSN magazine and, before that, at High End Systems and Martin Professional. He has volunteered on the ESTA - now Plasa - Technical Standards Committee, is an ETCP certified Entertainment Electrician, teaches throughout the year with his Academy of Production Technology training program, and has authored four theatre lighting books.

Plasa managing director and CEO Matthew Griffiths commented: ‘Richard is widely respected for his knowledge, hands-on technical, media and training experience in the industry and will be an invaluable resource for us all.’

The Music Station, Madrid

Warner Music Spain and Warner Chappell Music launched The Music Station several years ago, an artist-friendly complex in Madrid offering a non-traditional working environment for the company’s employees.
