The first outside broadcast vehicle in the Middle East be to fitted with a Midas digital mixing console is the new Se7en Productions HD truck.

The Dubai-based events and audio company selected a Midas Pro6, which was supplied by Nicolas Kyvernitis Electronics Enterprises (NMK) – the exclusive distributorsof Midas and Klark Teknik products in the UAE. The truck will be used for television coverage of major sports events, live performances and national celebrations across the Gulf region.

Thanks to the Midas Pro Series’ integral 5.1 panning and monitoring capabilities, the system can support 5.1 mixes out of the box and enables engineers to have their own mix at a concert rather than relying on the FOH mix. The digital advantages of the Pro6 make it particularly suited to an OB role as NMK Marketing Manager Richie Hiranandani explains:‘The cabling required for power and processing is minimal, making it a beautifully compact and flexible system, while retaining the signature preamps and quality Midas sound made famous by analogue consoles such as the XL4 and Heritage 3000.’
