The Symetrix D100 enterprise level COTS server reduces complexity and cost for applications that require management and control for large counts of audio channels. D100 offers high performance, enterprise level, large scale centralised processing to manage and control high counts of networked devices.
Centralised processing of large quantities of IP endpoints – including microphones, amplifiers, computers, remote controls and control screens – within a single component greatly simplifies designing and deploying solutions that communicate and interact across multiple rooms, floors, buildings or campuses. Managers of such systems benefit from a unified approach to monitoring and maintaining the equipment used to create their media environments.
The D100 includes 256 × 256 Dante I/O channels with an option to add 128×128 Dante I/O channels, 64 channels of acoustic echo cancellation (AEC) with an option to add 32 AEC channels, 32 media playback channels with an option to add 32 or 96 media playback channels, and eight media record channels.
Conference rooms are one of the biggest users of acoustic echo cancellation because of the need to communicate with people outside of their environment. As conference rooms need to scale up or more conference rooms are added, processing must also be increased. Rather than having to program and maintain multiple systems all doing the same thing, the D100 can be expanded to retain centralised implementation that can be easily administered.
The D100 is a scalable server with three software field upgrades to increase the Dante channel count, the internal media playback channel count, and the AEC channel count. This makes D100 future ready when system needs change over time.
Extensive control options enhance the high channel counts. In addition to Symetrix control with a variety of Symetrix components, D100 also offers TCP/UDP, Lua scripting support and third-party control via Intelligent Modules – all as standard capabilities.
