The globcon team has released version 1.0 of globcon control software, following successful beta testing that has proved the stability and capabilities of the software.

DirectOut globcon v1.0globcon is a free global control software that DirectOut has chosen to bring remote-control to its entire product range, including the company’s new Prodigy Series. Among many other features, the software offers powerful snapshot management that adds the ability to store and recall individual snapshots for each single device, and to connect these to Global Snapshots for simultaneously changing different settings and parameters in all controlled products.

In addition to individual and global Snapshots, fader levels and mute buttons can be directly activated from the software or externally triggered by the Trigger Manager, which supports Keyboard, Midi and OSC commands.

globcon was conceived and designed from the end-user’s point of view to allow consistent and coherent control of multiple pieces of equipment from different brands as a single system. Supported by Mac, PC and Linux systems, the software offers an alternative to existing DirectOut remote controls.

Using different discovery methods – including Ethernet, USB, Midi, DO.Net and the new globcon bridge – devices can be readily connected and controlled by the software, which not only allows an integrated management of DirectOut products, but also enhances their functionality and performance.
