Waves Audio has released the CLA Epic plug-in, designed in collaboration with mix engineer Chris Lord-Alge.
The Waves CLA Epic plug-in offers the suite of reverbs and delays used for mixing by Lord-Alge in a single plug-in. It covers four delays (Slap, Throw, Tape, Crowd) and four reverbs (Plate, Room, Hall, Space), each based on studio gear he uses in various combinations in his mixes. Waves CLA Epic allows CLA’s reverbs and delays to be belnded in the same manner.
The plug-in loads with Lord-Alge’s default settings for each effect. It allows users to go deeper and tweak all the familiar parameters, but loading the plug-in and blending in different effects promises ‘CLA magic in action’.
Lord-Alge sends delays to his reverbs, so that the delays become part of the overall sonic landscape. With the click of a button, users can choose to send each delay only to the output, only to any or all of the reverbs, or to all at once, greatly simplifying effects routing that may take hours in a DAW.
CLA Epic comes with 50 presets crafted by CLA himself – for vocals, drums, guitars and keyboards – along with more than 300 presets by Grammy winners Greg Wells, Michael Brauer, and other top producers and engineers.
