Audio-Technica has re-introduced the ATM25 hypercardioid dynamic instrument microphone, a popular choice on kick drums, among other applications.
Introduced in 1983, this hypercardioid dynamic microphone is designed for focused capture of high SPLs at close range, is ideal for kick drums, but also excels at capture of toms, brass and other highly dynamic instruments. The ATM25 is also well suited for miking electric guitar and bass cabinets.
Its hypercardioid polar pattern, allows the microphone to capture high-output sources with clarity, definition and impact, while providing effective rejection of unwanted off-axis sound. Additionally, the ATM25 works well for close-up voiceover and radio broadcast work.
The ATM25 is built with a rugged, all-metal body that incorporates a stand clamp and multilevel grille, ensuring easy setup and reliable performance in the studio or on the stage.
‘We’ve changed nothing,’ says Audio-Technica US Senior Marketing Manager, Gary Boss. ‘This is the classic ATM25, made in Japan, following our original design. It features all-metal construction with an integral stand clamp and is ready to handle anything you throw at it – in the studio, on the stage or travelling in between.’
