Schoeps Microphones has announced set of updates for its modular table and floor mounting system, including telescoping extension options, improved acoustic decoupling, integrated controls and ‘a nearly endless variety’ of customisation options for fixed installation and broadcast applications.
Schoeps microphones and mounting solutions have long been favoured by major government and cultural institutions, including parliaments and government institutions in Berlin, Bern, London, Brussels and Jerusalem, for their clarity and fidelity, as well as customisable mounting options that suit both historic and contemporary facilities.
The latest updates include additional flexible options for the TM series (in-table mounting), free-standing table stands and floor stands, providing a versatile and cost-effective solution for conference rooms, parliaments, broadcast facilities, and any other fixed site requiring live or recorded sound. All Schoeps products are engineered for maximum speech intelligibility, reliability, serviceability, and easy operation with minimal noise.
The telescoping extension offers increased flexibility and stability of microphone adjustment, with customisable options available by request, while improved acoustic decoupling improves noise handling regardless of integration into furniture such as tables and desks. An integrated button gives direct control from the mount of the microphone and improved modularity means that components can now combine more freely, with the full Colette/CCM microphone series behind them.
As with all mics and mounts, Schoeps offers custom-engineered solutions for ready integration into a facility.
‘We’re looking forward to showing our extended modular microphone mounting system hands-on at IBC this year,’ says Schoeps Co-CEO, Helmut Wittek. ‘For the fixed installation and broadcast world, this system solves a real problem: reference-class sound combined with a versatile range of mounting options, available as an economical, off-the-shelf solution. You can get one or the other from other manufacturers, but by combining both into a single system, with customisation on top, we can ensure consistent sound quality and seamless integration for any facility.’
