Frenetik has unveiled the first of its Resist series of weather-resistant Dante enabled PoE+ loudspeakers, the Resist5 – targetting long-life service in theme parks, bars and restaurant terraces, education campuses and other demanding environments.

Frenetik Resist5Resist5 is a self-powered, two-way passive speaker design, equipped with a passive radiator, 5-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter, delivering a peak SPL of 110dB, a frequency response of 50Hz-18kHz and broad, even coverage over 90° x 90°. Resist5 meets IP65 ingress protection standards and is cased in a rugged ABS plastic shell, allowing it to be installed in outdoor environments that are exposed to the elements year-round.

Each Resist5 loudspeaker incorporates a 60W class-D amplifier with integral DSP, and can be controlled remotely via Frenetik’s Adjust software, enabling easy level, bass and treble changes.

Designed for quick, hassle-free installation, Resist5 is connected and powered via standard RJ45 cable and integrates into Dante networks. The loudspeaker comes supplied with a cable gland to prevent water ingress, together with a versatile mounting bracket.

‘Integrators and contractors look to us for reliable, high quality audio solutions that slot easily into network environments with Dante and PoE standards,’ says Technical Director, Christophe Carles. ‘Now, with Resist5, our customers can enjoy these same benefits when providing systems for outdoor spaces, confident that the speakers will perform flawlessly in all weathers.’
