EAW AC6Expanding its ADAPTive loudspeaker line, EAW has announced the AC6 two-way, full-range ADAPTive Column. Capable of generating a max SPL of 143dB and 120° of horizontal nominal beamwidth, the new model is aimed at installations, houses of worship and small performing arts centres.

Slightly smaller than its predecessors, the AC6 claims just as many features. Managed via EAW’s Resolution 2 software, the AC6 can compensate for coverage and directivity with its Adaptive Performance technology. By integrating all factors and aspects of the loudspeaker, the AC6 can produce three-dimensional coverage in any venue, making it suited to use in even the most acoustically challenging room.

The AC6 is also equipped with EAW’s Focusing and DynO digital signal processing. This means that at any volume, this column speaker provides clear and dynamic sound with a clean impulse response. Using six low frequency transducers and 30 high-frequency transducers, the AC6 can produce audio from 20kHz, all the way down to 65Hz, at any level.

‘With the ongoing success of our ADAPTive line arrays, we are excited to introduce a loudspeaker equipped with the same powerful DSP toolkit that EAW is known for, but inside a small-format column enclosure,’ says EAW President, TJ Smith. ‘With the release of the AC6, we affirm our mission in being a driving force of innovation and reliability in the world of live sound.’

EAW has made flying multiple AC6s straightforward – an infinite number of columns can be flown as main systems or integrated with EAW’s larger Anna or Anya line arrays for a wide range of coverage possibilities. Like the other ADAPTive models, the AC6 is equipped with Dante redundant networking as well as analogue redundancy capabilities, making connecting and communicat on to each module streamlined and dependable.

The AC6 ADAPTive column is intended for any install as it is designed to fit in any installation and is available in black or white. It is also suitable for outdoor use when input/output weather protection covers are used.
