Tascam has added the TM-200SG Shotgun Microphone to its growing line of microphones, targeting videographers recording audio in the field.

The compact shotgun microphone is well suited to use for vlogging, video shooting, and other applications where fixed audio is not possible or practical. With its lightweight, and compact design, the TM-200SG has a 30Hz-20kHz frequency response and super-cardioid polar pattern for focused audio capture and minimal cleanup in post-production.

The microphone also incorporates a built-in low-cut filter for easy environmental noise reduction, effectively eliminating vocal pops while minimising wind and environmental hum. It is able to operate with +48V Phantom Power.

The TM-200SG Shotgun Microphone ships with a microphone clip with a shockmount suspension, designed to reduce low frequency rumble, and a soft case protective pouch, windscreen as included accessories, as well as an owner’s manual. This comprehensive package incorporates everything required to quickly and easily set up in the field and capture audio.

The Tascam TM-200SG Shotgun Microphone is expected to be available Q2, 2021.
