Intercoms & Conferencing

Bosch Conference Solutions has updated its flagship Dicentis Multimedia device, promising ‘crisp visuals, premium audio and advanced interaction features’ for conferences and hybrid meetings, from small boardrooms to large parliaments.

‘The new generation of the Dicentis Multimedia device provides a more engaging, immersive experience for meeting participants,’ says Lars van den Heuvel, Vice President Bosch Conference Solutions at Keenfinity Group’s Audio Business. ‘Its refined aesthetic integrates the proven premium audio performance of Dicentis with visual excellence, providing system integrators and IT teams with a future-proof, secure and inclusive multimedia solution.’

Bosch DicentisThe new Dicentis Multimedia device addresses modern conferencing needs with two innovative versions: The Full-function version features a 10-inch high-resolution touchscreen with an adjustable viewing angle, ensuring clarity and readability. It unites premium audio and visual performance in a single, unit for spaces where integrated design is required.

For environments where flexibility is key, the version with docking station offers a distinctive bring-your-own-device (BYOD) approach. This allows participants to use their preferred screen size by connecting off-the-shelf tablets running the Dicentis Participant App, enabling a personalised experience without compromising functionality. Both solutions support video streaming, presentation sharing and interactive documents.

In addition to offering a high‑quality stem microphone, the Dicentis Multimedia device also also has an integrated microphone array, powered by advanced AI algorithms to create a virtual stem microphone.

To avoid interruptions, the Dicentis Multimedia devices offer built-in redundancy to safeguard critical functions. Participants can request to speak and cast votes via both the hardware controls on the base and the touchscreen interface. Microphone redundancy ensures that if the stem microphone fails, the integrated microphone array takes over seamlessly. For docking variants, quick tablet replacement keeps meetings on track. And with cable redundancy available for both versions, connectivity remains secure and uninterrupted.

Intuitive features remove barriers and foster a truly inclusive meeting experience. Visually impaired participants benefit from haptic feedback for tactile confirmation, braille markings for easy orientation, colour-coded icons for simplified navigation and audible beeps during voting for added reassurance. Support for hearing-impaired participants is third-party subtitle integration.

The device is designed to reduce cost of ownership while keeping ahead of evolving needs. Built on standard Android, it supports regular updates for optimal performance. End-to-end encryption and ongoing security updates ensure privacy, reliability, and compliance. Its open architecture allows third-party or custom app integration, enabling adoption of supporting tools such as Document Management Systems.
