Audio codec specialist Tieline Technology has added comprehensive file recording and playback to its ViA remote codec.

New record and playback functions accessible through the unit’s touchscreen record support selection of input sources to record, viewing and management of recordings, creation of playlists for local recordings and imported files, and control of playback routing to specified codec encoders, as well as analogue and digital outputs.

Remotely control of ViA with Tieline’s new Cloud Codec Controller provides remote management of an entire network of ViA and Tieline codecs. This provides online/offline status, connection status, link quality, remote monitoring and adjustment of input levels, plus the ability to remotely dial and hang-up connections from the studio, or anywhere with an internet connection. Plus you can launch each codec’s HTML Toolbox web-GUI and access all codec controls
