Auralex Acoustics has released its next-generation SubDude system, the SubDude-HT Subwoofer Isolator. A larger, lower-profile version of the company’s SubDude, the new panel floats a subwoofer for improved acoustical isolation.
For use in listening rooms and home theatre installations, the SubDude-HT features a 0.75-inch velour-covered MDF panel with a 1-inch base of Auralex Platfoam as an isolation boundary to decouple the subwoofer from the floor. This type of isolation allows the sound to emanate directly from the subwoofer, reducing coloration and diminished structural vibration.
The SubDude-HT measures 22-inch (w) x 17-inch (d) x 1.75-inch (h).
