Sacramento’s Raley Field upgrades 25-year-old sound

More commonly known as Raley Field, the 14,000-capacity Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento, California, is home to the River Cats baseball team and ‘A’s’ (Athletics), where a major upgrade of its sound infrastructure has been conducted to ‘enhance the fan experience’ and improve game-day technology.

Based around Martin Audio CDD and SX subwoofer components, as well as process-controlled amplification from Focusrite sister brand, Linea Research, the new installation takes over a 25-year-old one that badly needed replacing.

DMI-Klang immersive monitoring adds to Motown’s Magic

A feel-good musical extravaganza full to the brim with Motown classics, The Magic of Motown marked its 20th year at London’s Palladium in March 2025.

FOH engineer Job Lewis handles monitors and supplies all audio gear for the show through his company, JL Sound Reinforcement, with his addition of DMI-Klang IEM to his DiGiCo Quantum 225 deck has not only ‘revolutionising’ how the singers and band interact, but also freeing him to concentrate more fully on the front-of-house mix.

V1 Church adopts Waves LV1 for FOH and broadcast

Having begun as a gathering of 18 people in a Long Island living room, V1 Church has grown into eight campuses across the US, with approximately 2,500 attending in person each week and more than 8,000 joining online. Its campus in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, serves as its main broadcast hub and doubles as a music venue during the week.

‘This means we set up and tear down our entire set-up every week,’ says V1 Church Lead Audio Engineer, Christopher Wrigley. ‘Despite these challenges, our eMotion LV1 Classic handles the complexity and rigors of our Sundays seamlessly.’
