Solid State Logic has released its Stereo Bus Compressor as a 500-Series format module.
Representing the centre section compressor from the 1980s G-Series analogue mixing console, the Stereo Bus Compressor is a simple unit intended for processing a whole mix. According to SSL, its availability as a module for the 500 format ‘makes this essential audio production tool available to users of the popular API 500 format modular rack platform’.
The SSL console’s ‘sound’ has been available in 12 different modules for SSLs own modular X-Rack system for many years, and has built a customer base of more than 15,000 units. In this format, it benefits from a high-quality power supply and onboard TotalRecall offered by SSL’s X-Rack. The release of the Stereo Bus Compressor Module for the 500-Series platform further expands this user base.
The unit is shipping now with a SRP of £1,329/US$2299/€1,679 (+ VAT or sales tax).
