CU-29 CopperheadTelefunken Elektroakustik has released the CU-29 Copperhead condenser mic and M80-WH wireless mic capsule.

After 18 months in development by Telefunken's in-house engineering team and consultation with amplifier designers, the mic has been based on a circuit that uses a New Old Stock (NOS) Telefunken vacuum tube, custom audio transformer, and a fixed cardioid large-diaphragm capsule.

According to Telefunken, the microphone exhibits similar characteristics found in the AR-51 and the AK-47 MkII.

Developed for Green Day, the M80-WH dynamic wireless capsule is also now available. Designed for live sound applications, the capsule head replacements are interchangeable with any of the screw-on-type handheld transmitters using a 31.3mm/pitch 1.0mm threading.
