HK Audio has made two additions to its sound reinforcement portfolio with the Linear 5 LTS A mid/high unit and the Linear Sub 4000 A subwoofer.

Claiming ‘genuine long throw performance in an ultra-compact format’, Linear 5 LTS A uses proprietary Multicell Transformer technology to deliver 138dB maximum SPL and consistent HF. Its straightforward design allows it to be groundstacked or clustered.

The Linear Sub 4000 A is a flexible 18-inch subwoofer that pairs high maximum SPL with dynamic response from 30Hz to 100Hz. Its robust wood housing is built to withstand daily use, making it suited to gigs and club installations.

The LTS A and L Sub 4000 A are particularly effective when used together, and both are compatible with all existing Linear 5 series components. L Sub 4000 A can be used as a sub-low add-on in conjunction with the Linear Sub 2000 to beef up the bottom end in the 30-70Hz range.

‘When we first gave the world a preview of LTS A and L Sub 4000 A at ProLight & Sound 2015, there was big excitement,’ says HK Audio Product Manager, Alexander Wollenberg. ‘Since then, we’ve been field-testing and fine-tuning the systems at some German summer festivals and clubs; the results have been spectacular.
