Lectrosonics DNT16i and DNT0212Lectrosonics has released the Dante-equipped DNT16i input processor and DNT0212 output processor. Each unit features 48 independent automatic mixers with 36 inputs per mixer and supports both switched and redundant Dante modes of operation.

The units are intended for use in sound reinforcement, conference systems, room combining, courtrooms, council chambers, houses of worship, production studios, and other multichannel sound systems. High quality A/D and D/A converters provide studio quality audio. Delay, EQ filters and dynamic processing is available on every input and output channel. Smooth gain transition is employed to prevent audible artifacts caused by abrupt level changes.

The DNT16i features 16 mic/line analogue inputs via Phoenix connectors with 48V phantom power and wide gain control on each. Each input provides extensive signal processing and routing to any one or all of 48 automatic mixers operating at the crosspoints of an internal digital matrix. The outputs of the matrix can be assigned to a Dante transmit channel and/or be routed back to an input to be further mixed with other inputs.

The DNT0212 output processor features two line-level analogue inputs, eight line-level analogue outputs, and four mic/line analogue outputs. The DNT0212 subscribes to channels on a Dante network and delivers them to an internal digital matrix for automatic mixing and processing. The outputs of the matrix can be assigned to a Dante transmit channel, an analogue output and/or be routed back to an input to be further mixed and processed with other channels or matrix mixes. Outputs also include speaker management DSP functions.

All DNT units can be controlled via USB, RS232, Ethernet and programmable logic I/O. Dante delivers sample-accurate playback synchronisation, even over multiple switch hops. Latency is extremely low, regardless of fixed or optimised network latency.

The MSRP pricing for the DNT16i input processor is US$4,325, and US$3,995 for the DNT0212 output processor.
