Tascam UH-7000 mic preamp/interface

Tascam UH-7000 Tascam has announced the UH-7000 USB 4x4-channel audio interface and microphone preamplifier.

The UH-7000 HDIA(High Definition Instrumentation Architecture) mic preamplifiers feature a fully-balanced signal path from input to output, an instrumentation amplifier architecture, -128dBU noise floor, 117dB signal-to-noise ratio and 0.0009% THD. Dual PCM4220 A/D converters support 192kHz/24-bit resolution, and a temperature-compensated internal clock offers 1PPM resolution. Monitoring and line outputs use a Burr Brown DA converter.

The UH-7000 knobs are calibrated for smooth, custom-tapered gain setting and a bright 20-segment LED peak meters indicate each channel’s true level. It is equipped with XLR balanced inputs with +48V phantom power, balanced quarter-inch inputs, balanced XLR outputs, and AES/EBU digital out.
