Riedel has announced new RockNet expansion options for Solid State Logic and Soundcraft Si Compact consoles to be showcased at the 2013 NAB Show.
‘Next-generation’ firmware for the RockNet RN.334.MD Madi interface allows SSL mixing consoles to be integrated into a Riedel RockNet digital audio network, with complete remote control functionality over all gains and the flexibility of RockNet’s independent gain feature. Using the newtork, several mixing consoles can operate with the same mic preamps without affecting one other – a capability designed to simplify multi-console and recording set-ups.
Riedel’s RN.344.SI card, meanwhile, enables RockNet integration of any Soundcraft Si Compact console, supporting 32 inputs and 32 outputs. Again, the interface enables remote control of any RockNet mic preamp and also supports RockNet’s independent gain feature.
