Latin-music fans in Valencia now dance the night away at La 57, a modern nightclub that recently completed the installation of a DAS Audio professional sound system.
La 57 is the city’s largest Latin music club, and has quickly become a hotspot for locals who love salsa, bachata, merengue and mambo, and the city’s large South American community. The venue owners called in Telesonic Valencia to design a sound system that would offer the club’s guests top-of-the-line sound quality. Francisco Planells, a local sound professional whose extensive experience in projects at a range of venues makes him well acquainted with the qualities of DAS professional sound systems, headed the project.
Because La 57 is dual -purpose – the space is dedicated to dance classes in the mornings and afternoons and turns into a nightclub at night and on weekends – a versatile sound system was a prime consideration. Faced with this challenge, Planells and the Telesonic Valencia sound team analysed the acoustics and recommended a system based on DAS Audio’s powered Artec 500 series.
Four groups of systems were brought in for the central dancefloor, each with an Artec S15A subwoofer stacked on an Artec 510A system. These four blocks of systems cover the entire perimeter of the dancefloor, while four Artec 508A systems angled toward this central area. The system is completed with a powered DAS DR-512A system for monitoring in the booth used to control the lighting and sound system as well as for guest DJs.
