Described as ‘a major commercial and technological partnership’, Digigram is to work with one of the leading operators of shared facilities and terrestrial networks in Europe.

TDF Group assists television networks, radio stations, telecommunications operators, ISPs and local municipalities with services across the chain of audiovisual and telecoms networks – from upstream to downstream, with deployment, maintenance and operation of transport and distribution networks and on-site hosting of operators’ equipment in TDF’s sites.

Our solutions are based first and foremost on quality,’ says Jean-Louis Degoul, Head End Lead Buyer for TDF Group. ‘That means 100 per cent reliability combined with the highest possible audio quality. Digigram’s range of IP transport products offer extremely low latency, excellent audio transport stability and numerous redundancy options, thereby fulfilling our most stringent criteria for developing high quality, reliable audio-over-IP solutions that we can present to our clients with complete confidence.’

The TDF Group has extensively tested and eventually selected Digigram’s Iqoya and Pyko IP transport solutions as the basis for its Audio-over-IP proposals. The Pyko range was chosen for solutions that transit in part over the public Internet network, whereas the Iqoya range, particularly the * Link/LE and * Serv/Link products will be used for projects based on the TMS network, which is fully controlled and operated by TDF.

‘TDF expectations and testing standard were extremely high,’ Christelle Nay, Sales Account Manager Digigram explains. ‘Our devices were pushed to the limits and we’re extremely pleased with the outcome. The “TDF tested” result was a milestone we were eager to reach, not only for our European customers but also for the increasing number of “IP-minded” broadcasters looking for reliable 24/7 solutions.’

With more than 10,000 locations in Europe, TDF will offer customers and end-users a suitable and reliable service based on Digigram codecs to accompany them in the shift to Audio-over-IP networks.
