Symetrix has expanded its presence in Eastern Europe with the appointment of Budapest’s Audmax as its distributor for Hungary.

Established in 2005, Audmax maintains an evolving distribution catalogue and comprehensive technical expertise and represents leading pro-audio and MI brands including Allen & Heath, Audio-Technica, Avid, Genelec, Korg, Tascam and Vox. The company is also involved in high-profile audio integration projects at venues such as Budapest’s Palace of Arts and the Hungarian Parliament Building. Referring to the ‘current exciting potential’ for more sophisticated DSP in its market, Audmax has now added Symetrix to its distribution rosta.

‘The installation segment and A/V industry as a whole are growing rapidly in Hungary, and we therefore see an opportunity to advance the concepts of audio networking and DSP splitting,’ says Audmax MD, Krisztian Varga. ‘This obviously entails a certain learning curve for the market, and that one of the great advantages of the Symetrix DSPs is that they are easy to use and demonstrate. The benefits can be explained quickly to potential end-users.’

Varga, who expects the SymNet Dante-scalable DSPs to strike a particular chord, also highlights the quality of the dialogue with Symetrix personnel including International Sales Manager Mark Ullrich, who remarks of the new relationship: ‘Our conversations with Audmax over recent months confirmed that Hungary’s installation market is beginning to embrace the potential of quality DSP in a major way.
