Media Prima, Malaysia’s leading integrated media investment group, has purchased five Soundcraft Si Expression 2 digital audio consoles for its Fly FM Radio commercial production studio.

‘The scalability of Si Expression 2 makes it suitable for use in our production studios, recording suites and for live PA,’ says Fly FM Engineering Manager, Simon Lee. It reduces cable clutter and are the right fit for modern DAWs. I’m also very impressed with the compact design, flexible fader configuration, and built-in Lexicon processors.

Media Prima also purchased a Soundcraft Compact Stagebox for PA use, offering makes faster set-up and configuration. In addition, the company has taken eight JBL Eon610 loudspeaker for its PA system.

Media Prima purchased the consoles from Mahajak Trio Electronic, Malaysia’s local Harman distributor. According to Mahajak Trio Senior Manager, Sales & Project, Lee Chin Kah, the Si Expression is very user-friendly and easy to teach, serving applications ranging from PA, houses of worship, music venues and tour sound to recording and broadcast. ‘People with less experience in sound mixing can learn it very quickly because of its intuitive design,’ he notes. ‘The expansion slot also allows many digital options.’
