Staged each year at the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini, the address given by Iranian Supreme Leader – presently Seyed Ali Khamenei – explores the current state of Iranian politics and the nation’s future.
Presented to a live audience numbering in the hundreds of thousands, the address is also broadcast live on Iranian TV and radio, as well being translated to other languages for international satellite broadcast.
The sound system for the event was provided by Avaye Fallah Co, the rental company that has served it for some years. The chosen loudspeaker system was a Foujan S500. The main area of address was around hectares, which was filled to capacity by the attendant crowd. The system was selected to provide clear voice transmission in a highly reverberant acoustic environment.
Foujan S500 is a compact 3.1kW self-powered two-way system capable of delivering up to up to 142dB peak SPL. Only 20 cabinets were required to cover most of the two hectare site, and these were supported by additional FBT line arrays and RCF cabinets.
