Jump2Go and Omnia Audio are to collaborate on ‘the world’s first Interactive Radio technology platform’.
A new suite of products is to be released under the AudioActive banner – as a tribute to the brand created by Telos Systems founder Steve Church. AudioActive Master Control is set to offer comprehensive web-based administrative tools, enabling stations to create and manage message content, as well as all technical aspects of the system from a single user login.
‘Broadcasters have been very receptive to innovations that make radio more immersive to today’s younger listener demographics, and we think that this new AudioActive technology is something they’ll be excited about, too,’ says Telos Alliance CEO, Frank Foti. ‘For instance, AudioActive will bring RDS encoding to Omnia audio processors, and provide live metadata to Telos Alliance products such as Telos ProFiler and ProStream, Omnia A/XE, and Axia IP-Audio networks. And that’s just for starters.’

The first available AudioActive product is the DP-1 advanced data processor, which is compatible with the NextRadio/Sprint FM radio in-a-cell-phone project. The US$399 DP-1 promises a cost-effective and upgradeable rout for stations to begin broadcasting with Interactive Radio.
